Francophone Fellowship

A FELLOWSHIP OF TEACHERS |
|
“Is the Francophone Fellowship ministry continuing? If so, what will be its purpose?” Yes it is. It is the intent of the Advisory Board to ensure that the vision, mission and heart values of Francophone Fellowship continue. The Board is currently researching new options for Francophone Fellowship’s future structure which may look different than its present form. The Board is seeking the Lord’s guidance to identify new French-speaking teachers/trainers to fill the primary teaching role which God had entrusted to Jean-Marc. Though the structure may look different, the purpose will remain to teach, train and nurture French-speaking pastors. For further details, please refer to “Advisory Board Initiatives”
“How have my contributions for 2009 been used? What will happen to future contributions?” All contributions received have been spent on ministry expenses. These expenses were incurred while Jean-Marc was still ministering and include items such as salary, travel, communications and teaching materials. By year-end, all existing expenses tied to Jean-Marc’s outreach will be paid in full. Future contributions will also be used for ministry expenses. Funds received will be designated for ministry expenses in support of the mission and will be held in the Francophone Fellowship account until the Advisory Board has reached a decision about the structure of the ongoing ministry.
“How have memorial funds been spent?” The Advisory Board does not make a distinction between memorial funds and ministry funds. Since these funds are comingled, memorial funds were applied to Jean-Marc’s ministry expenses incurred while serving his Lord. Your memorial gift provided monetary resources to support the Lord’s work while honoring Jean-Marc’s dedication and obedience to his calling.
“Should we continue sending our monthly support checks?” Yes. As God leads you, please prayerfully consider continuing your support of the ministry. Francophone Fellowship is a unique ministry to spiritually and intellectually hungry Francophone pastors who love the Lord and desire to serve Him to the fullest of their God-given potential. Your gift of monetary funds which the Lord has entrusted to you will continue to be transformed into eternal blessings for those whose heart God has prepared.
“What will happen to the training needs of the pastors Jean-Marc was mentoring?” This is the number one concern right now since encouraging these pastors is the goal of Francophone Fellowship. Over the years, Francophone Fellowship has partnered with two small organizations. The first is Christian Direction (www.christiandirection.com) in Montreal, Canada and the other is France Evangelization based in France. Jean-Marc traveled and taught with Dr. Jose daSilva from Christian Direction and Evangelist Emmanuel Mannlein from France Evangelization in seminaries within African French-speaking countries. Two teaching partners worked well because one ministered while the other rested and prayed. This allowed for recuperation from the extreme heat and traveling conditions as well as preparation for the next sessions. Although these two organizations continue to send Jose and Emmanuel to minister to pastors in the seminaries, the richness and strength of the teamwork with Jean-Marc will be sorely missed. During the first week of September, Dr. daSilva traveled to FATEB (Faculty of Theology) in Kigali, Rwanda to teach by himself. He explained that he had to cut the course work from 30 hours to 20 hours and assign the remaining work for the pastors to accomplish following the seminar. The relationships with the pastors are ongoing, but it is the Advisory Board’s hope and prayer that Francophone Fellowship will find additional traveling teachers in the future to strengthen this ministry. Jean-Marc’s passionate, focused work with French-speaking pastors who have little access to resources is difficult to replace, but it is our prayer that God will raise up other teachers to fill in the gap.
“Will Wanda Lepillez be a supported Francophone Fellowship missionary?” No, not in the short-term. Wanda’s heart’s desire and passion is to eventually be involved full-time in the ministry. However, current circumstances warrant that Wanda spend her time and energy on personal issues. Obviously, Wanda still needs time to grieve the loss of Jean-Marc as well as to support herself financially. So, for the time being, she will continue to work as a full-time elementary school teacher. Her involvement in Francophone Fellowship will be on a very limited basis and she will be treated as a contracted services provider.
“Are Wanda’s personal financial needs being met?” The Lord is providing for Wanda’s daily needs. Wanda thanks the Lord that her employment situation is secure for this academic year. In addition to her daily needs, there may be medical expenses resulting from injuries Wanda sustained in the automobile accident which led to Jean-Marc’s hospitalization. These bills are still being received by Wanda. While she has excellent personal medical benefits through her employer, the source of payment for Wanda’s portion of the medical bills is unknown at this point. If the Lord prompts you to help with expenses in this area, certainly Wanda would be most appreciative. Any checks should be made out to Wanda and sent directly to her home address: 6370 Shirecliff Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80918. These gifts are not tax deductible contributions under IRS regulations.
